From 4–10 May 2026, Dublin 8 comes alive with Culture Date with Dublin 8, a vibrant week-long festival celebrating the heritage, creativity and community spirit of one of the city’s most historic quarters. Set against the backdrop of iconic landmarks such as St Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral and the National Stadium, the programme features concerts, late-night music trails, guided walking tours, talks, exhibitions, family-friendly events and special one-off performances. From choral premieres and literary celebrations to contemporary music and local storytelling, CDD8 invites visitors to explore the rich past and dynamic present of Dublin 8, discovering its stories, songlines and creative energy by day and after dark.
